9 Elements of Digital Citizenship Mike Ribble defined Digital Citizenship as to regarding the use of technology by us of appropriate norms and responsible behavior. There are 9 elements of digital citizenship and will be named as discussed below(in terms of (M. Ribble, 2011)):        1. Question 2.2 Do you think that digital footprints could become a problem? Discuss.

A digital footprint is the traces, tracks or "footprints" that people leave online via their online activities. The internet is there forever and the text or image you might have posted will be there forever in a static form. Thus what we say and do on the internet has a very important impact on our reputation online. In your online profile, people perceptions do not tend to change due to the digital footprint you have previously left behind. It could create unwanted attention. In conclusion: It can be a problem and it can be positive It is a problem in the sense of unwanted or unethical activities that are traced to you s a person or commercial business. It is positive to a level of you wanting to be found or want people to find things, thus you create a trace therefore by use of a digital footprint.
